Typical Sunday morning I started early to do some finishing touches and finish that last minute of editing I had left, excited to see the final product… but, oh my god, it’s palm Sunday… and as the “good” catholic that i am, my mother drags me off the computer to go to 12’clock mass. AKA the longest mass of the year. 2 hours of my editing day gone, but it’s okay, i had most of it almost ready. Before leaving i saved my project, rendered it, made sure i put my adobe skills to work. So i come back to a shut off computer with nothing opened…I’m freaking out.. Holy guacamole what the hell do i do now, Premiere isn’t opening i don’t have a flash drive on me, I looked everywhere on my computer for the project, nothing. It’s over. it’s gone, my supposed project was 30 seconds edited. Cambridge is going to hang me on a tree. My heart dropped my eyes watered, I see the tears falling in my keyboard. Why do these things happen to me!!!! It’s okay, i have time, I’ll start editing again. Got stressed, there was no way my project wasn’t saved somewhere! So I Looked up youtube tutorial “how to find saved adobe project on computer” BOOM the internet does it again, Cambridge will not hang me from a tree. There is my project. All that suffering was saved by a random guy on youtube. Thanks for that.
After finding my project on the deepest folder of my computer, the rest of editing was still pretty stressful. I felt like all the footage that we had was very repetitive, now that i think about it i might of repeated some footage… It’s okay. I finished, you know on time! woop!
but then.. THE VIDEO DIDNT WANT TO OPEN ON THE GOOGLE DRIVE. So after i exported it 3 times, tried to uploaded like 6 times and my computee ran out of storage… I made it
Here’s some pictures of the tragedy
Today, Neither Gerardo or Ana could make it on time for the shoot, or at all… Very inconvenient for my part but… made it through! Thankfully Ana was there for approx 20 mins and she helped me take some shots of some things, however Gerardo was with his family down in aventura so, couldn’t do anything with him.
I went pick up Gerardo’s camera so i could take some pictures of the band, some solo shots, some all together, i think I a pretty decent job with it!
HERE ARE SOME BEHIND THE SCENES PICTURES!
There are some things I need to address before going to the location because there have been some changes to our schedule and so many things went wrong this morning.
So we were originally going to LAS OLAS BEACH around 4:30 but the weather was... quite horrible
Not to mention it is pretty far from where we live so it was a little inconvenient for all of us, especially for the band members since they had to bring their instruments with them and stuff... so we decided to change the location to a park close to us called Markham parkAnother inconvenient thing that happened is that Jade, one of the band members went on a spontaneous trip with her family and won't make it on time to record. So, we are 90% likely to meet again on Tuesday to do the photoshoot with the whole band for the Digipack and it will be at 5:30 at Markham park again
I will make another blog post today after we record talking about our experience with the band
PAZ!
hello, blog!! No, no one fought hahaha but, tomorrow is finally the recording date!!! Ana and I decided that we didn't want to go blindsided with most things because we didn't think going to film without a plan was convenient and professional so, we talked about making a b roll list and including some shots we could use that would give the video some life.
Although it is not the most detailed spreadsheet of ideas, it will tremendously help us during filming. Not to mention that we will probably just go with the flow once we get to the setting and have everything set up. Were excited to film and thrilled about how the final product will come out!
